Regional Leadership Summits stimulate community-wide engagement with topics that challenge participants to solve problems in creative and strategic ways. Hosted twice each year, once in Northern Nevada and once in Southern Nevada, these summits allow community stakeholders to immerse themselves in new ideas and best practices from both the private and education sectors. Featuring nationally-renowned scholars and practitioners, summit topics have included the No Time to Lose report by the National Conference of State Legislatures on building a world-class education system; and increasing equity and diversity of staff for all students.

13th Annual Southern Nevada Leadership Summit

The 13th Southern Nevada Leadership Summit, held in December 2023, focused on the future of learning in the age of artificial intelligence. Highlights included insights from Khan Academy’s Kristen DiCerbo on AI in education, strategies for collaboration with machine learning from Mike Lang of Teach for America, and innovative practices from the XCollective. Participants gained practical tools, fresh perspectives, and connections to drive positive change in their schools and communities.
